"USQ 2003 Opera Scenes” 1:25 White Model

In the USQ "2003 Opera Scenes" the three acts were scenes from three very different operas. They were to be performed in a static set, the mood of which varied by lighting states alone. This was achieved through painting the whole set in a multi colored spatter pattern which picked up on a variety of lighting states.

Because the whole set was to be painted in a uniform manner, the model only needed to be in basic white, to get the sight lines right, and as a guide for the build.  My set design permitted a maximum number of area within which the actors could perform, while also gave the director maximum flexibility to workshop the performance during rehearsals without set design restrictions.
