"USQ 2003 Opera Scenes” Lighting Scenes Hell

In the full stage lighting state "Hell" for the 2003 USQ opera season, you can see how the charactor of the set has changed through the use of a different set of colors. During the show, scenes were performed from three very different operas. They were to be performed in a static set, the mood of which varied by lighting states alone.  This was achieved through painting the whole set in a multi colored spatter pattern which picked up on a variety of lightng states.

My set design also permitted a maximum number of area within which the actors could perform, while also gave the director maximum flexibility to workshop the performance during rehearsals without set design restrictions.
