"Arkensaw Bear" Dress Rehearsal

For the children's production "Arkensaw Bear" in the Performance Center , USQ. Toowoomba Qld , Australia

The final set was in place having had to be extensively redesigned on the fly. The workplace health and safety officer wouldn't allow the fairy to sit on a trapeze 3 feet above a rostra behind a scrim, even with a safety harness. We barely persuaded him that we really didn't need yellow and black railing around everything above 4 feet.

A lady who came from the US to see the show. She was doing a thesis on Children's theater, comparing many productions of "Arkensaw Bear" Her comment was that this was in her mind the definitive set this play.
